FAB-A-MATTER is an award-winning architecture and multi-disciplinary design studio specialising in land acquisition, feasibility study, home & office automation, architecture, interior, furniture and product design.

Florence Kong is a registered architect in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Before founding her own Hong Kong‐based design studio, FAB-A‐MATTER, she worked at world renowned architectural firms including Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster + Partners, and KPF. She graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours.
She is best known for her modern interpretation of traditional Asian elements and home automation design that seamlessly integrates IoT elements into luxury residence interior. Her recently completed smart‐home project in Hong Kong was featured in South China Morning Post, Tatler, Hong Kong Economic Journal and Perspective Magazine. Outside of work, she is devoted to architectural education. For the past decade, she has been teaching architecture and interior design at universities in London and Hong Kong. She has also frequently served as a guest critic at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
She was awarded the Women Icons Asia Award 2018 in Singapore, supported by British Chamber of Commerce, Euro Chamber of Commerce, Singapore International Chamber of Commerce, BERG and various organisations, for recognising her works in architecture and design. She was the only awardee from Hong Kong. She was also awarded The Influencer Award 2020 by Hong Kong Living, The Most Innovative Architect of the Year Award 2019, Asia Pacific Property Awards-Best Retail Interior 2021, Asia Pacific Property Awards-Residence Show Home Interior 2022 and Asia Pacific Property Award- Residence Interior 2022.
Her works were nominated for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President's Medals Awards and exhibited in the 2021 Venice Biennale International Exhibition.
